The one common factor in any marketing is relating to the target audience. A subject matter that the consumer can relate to while answering the needs of those customers is the key to people buying into whatever you are selling. A recent Human resources project I am working on leaned on this approach. Our company is young and fast growing which can also lead to assumptions of volatility to the candidate considering joining the company. Create a very human easy to relate feeling that spins this issue as opportunity and not risk is the goal.
Dispelling the negative sentiments through content and imagery is the first step in getting your content really heard.

If you have been involved in any sort of paid social media campaign building then you know about the pesky Instagram and Facebook 20% rule. Facebook will reject any ads that use over 20% of the image for text. Now the pesky part is that this is determined by a grid system in which any…

I sure do hate link bait posts like “top 5 ways you to get the job!” or “7 gifts every girl will love every time!”. This type of social media bait is the scourge of LinkedIn and similar platforms. In the world of Twitter there are more people than ever are “doing it wrong”. Today…

Solving blog spam with corporate spam? So captcha’s have evolved quite a bit over the last 5-7 years. What was once a simple text type in box has become a variety of things to stop or slow down bots that can undo whatever a captcha can do. We have seen a thousand types of squiggly…
The funny thing about online marketing is that if you do it right the target audience will find you and they will think it was their idea. So it is like 93 degrees here and I stumbled across Brothers International Food website, a company from my hometown of Rochester, NY that sells Freeze-Dried Fruit Snacks….
So nothing serious here. I had Memorial Day off and was in my office finishing up early on a website leaving me a lot of time to kill. So, I spent the evening shooting clips, loading up Adobe Premier CC with sites and sounds. As with all things in SEO, and often in life, getting…
A recent Marketing land article discusses what an SEO needs to know about UX and Usability. It also explains how these last two terms are not one in the same. Usability being part of UX but not synonymous. My takeaway from this read is that anyone wearing the SEO badge with honor should have enough…

Facebook relevance score rolled out globally (https://www.facebook.com/business/news/relevance-score) in February of 2015. It shows next to your ads in your Facebook ad control panel as the fifth tab. It shows High, med or low feedback levels for both positive…
Google announces customer match and if you know online marketing then you know this is a game changer. We have all heard “next big thing” talk about every little marketing product before, but this a huge tool and a huge step forward in targeting. Funny thing is that Facebook has been doing it for years….
My WordPress based sites almost always have a collection of IF_Frontpage wordpress statements. When I see something specific I want to be used on the most important page for SEO I just work it in the template myself. Your homepage will always have the most SEO juice (exceptions could be possible in odd circumstances). If…
My day today has been filled with mobile vs. non mobile comparisons as we move forward with some mobile traffic and website changes. My main project at work has never really required this based on historically low mobile usage and the nature of the product we sell. Our B2C offering requires information that just cannot…
