This is a quick response to a post about the search phrase for people searching out a user guide for Ello, which is self described as “a simple, beautiful, and ad-free social network created by a small group of artists and designers.” being a new a niche social media option the volume of searches for those trying to learn how to use and get the most out of it, or seeking a user guide, is bound to increase over the short term. This would be getting ahead of a search phrase that references a niche of serps on the rise. Social media terms will always have a lot of seekers as it has a wide and broad audience.
The question remains whether people will be looking for an Ello user guide or starting at an earlier point in the search funnel with things like asking what is Ello? Perhaps getting people earlier with the latter phrase and then including the option to find the user guide makes more sense in building an audience? The beauty of this topic is that it also doubles as a “heat check” for terms in the field of social media for our site as well.
